4 Lessons For You From My Failed Productivity Challenge
#3: Do it for yourself, not for bragging rights.
The lockdown gave us a lot of free time.
A lot of time, just for Netflix. For sleeping. For playing games. For Reading. For more Netflix.
For most of us, the lockdown meant time to catch up on a lot of stuff. Sort of like a break. But for the rest of us, it was a realization of how much time we’re wasting daily.
It was this mass realization that led to a lot of people posting and discussing content about productivity online. I used to skim through a shitload of articles, videos and posts about being productive and productivity tips, so I decided to join the rat race.
I woke up early, worked out, planned my day, drank lots of water and even blocked slots in my calendar like Elon frickin’ Musk. I read a lot of non-fiction and stopped using electronics 30 minutes before bed. I started developing some muscle and feeling more energetic.
And then one day, I stopped. I’ll tell you why shortly.
